The Lachine CPSC received a grant from the Jumpstart Sport Assistance Fund

Last February, Canadian Tire Corporation announced an additional $ 12 million commitment to the Jumpstart Sport Fund to help sport and recreation organizations restore sport and play to the country.

Jumpstart conducted a study on the state of sport through Ipsos which found that the pandemic has not only affected current access to sport and play, but is also producing real effects that will be felt for the long haul. The CPSC Lachine and the communities assisted by this organization have been directly impacted by the pandemic.

We recently received a grant as part of the most recent round of funding from the Jumpstart Sport Assistance Fund. In 2021, Jumpstart has already provided funding to more than 1,200 organizations across the country through the Jumpstart Sport Fund. We are most grateful as a result of this grant and know how much this support will help organizations and children across the country.

With the support of Jumpstart, we were able to run a children’s activity program this summer and secure equipment for the summers to come. In fact, the children of the Lachine CPSC could participate in the activities planned by our specialized educator designed to get them out of isolation, get them moving and simply have fun with educational and sporting activities in Kirkland Park right next to the CPSC of Lachine in the Saint-Pierre district of Lachine. The program « Moving this summer with the CPSC. » The children were able to participate in these activities safely thanks to the safety equipment and by following the COVID prevention rules.

We are very grateful for this grant!

Thank you #FondsDaideAuSport
